Shingle Roofing

Shingle roofs are the workhorse of Bay Area homes. We install architectural and 3-tab shingles built to handle Peninsula weather year after year.

Quality Roofing Since 2002

Shingle Roofing Explained

Shingle roofing covers asphalt composition shingles and traditional cedar/wood shake. Asphalt is by far the most common and best value.

Benefits

Affordable, fast to install, easy to repair, and available in tons of styles. Architectural shingles give a richer look than basic 3-tab.

When Shingle Roofing Makes Sense

Most pitched residential roofs are great candidates for shingle. If your home is currently shingled, replacing in-kind is usually the simplest path.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of shingles do you install?

We install asphalt/composition shingles (3-tab and architectural), as well as wood shake-style and designer shingles. For most Bay Area homes, architectural asphalt shingles offer the best combination of value, durability, and appearance.

How do I know if my shingles need replacing or just repairing?

If damage is limited to a few shingles, repair is usually right. If you're seeing widespread curling, cracking, granule loss, or the roof is 20+ years old, a full replacement is more cost-effective long term. We give honest assessments.

How long does a shingle roof installation take?

Most Peninsula homes take 1–3 days for a shingle re-roof. We protect your property daily and minimize disruption to your household.

Are shingles a good choice for low-slope roofs?

Standard shingles require a minimum roof pitch. For low-slope sections, we may recommend a different material. We'll assess your specific roof during the estimate and flag any concerns.

Do shingle roofs need maintenance?

Basic maintenance goes a long way — keep gutters clear, trim overhanging branches, and address moss or algae early. We recommend an inspection every few years to catch small issues before they become expensive ones.
